Regional Sales Manager

Your role and responsibilities
  1. Accelerate Process Industries Mining business growth as Regional Sales Manager in Eastern North America. Integrity, safety, customer focus & collaboration are pillars of our work.
  2. Achieve and exceed assigned Mining orders received (OR) & gross margin (GM) budget. Focus on penetration and capturing maximum share of customer spend.
  3. Lead early engagement with decision makers at End-users, OEMs, and EPCMs within the region. Responsible for prospecting, developing & winning opportunities. Understand ROI, production processes, organizational structure, operational challenges, and buying behavior of the Mining industry. Use value-added capture team strategies with comprehensive key player maps for targeted accounts & opportunities.
  4. Participate in sales strategy discussions, set regional goals, and own the sales budget.
  5. Establish and lead ABB teams to deliver best-in-class customer experience by becoming a trusted advisor. Travel to customer sites; expect about four documented customer meetings per week. Manage Customer Complaint Resolution Process effectively.
  6. Collaborate with market segment & proposal managers to develop strategic pursuit plans and prepare value proposals. Review customer specifications, conduct go/no-go reviews, ensure timely responses, and position ROI effectively.
  7. Create, maintain, and share monthly sales plans using Salesforce (CRM). Gather feedback on customer budgets and ABB’s offer position.
  8. Enhance portfolio visibility through application sales collateral, customer presentations, industry event participation, training, competitive intelligence, and social media engagement.
  9. Analyze customer needs and competitor offers through market information.
Qualifications for the role
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in process industries (Mining, Metals, Aluminum & Cement), related to large project engineering, execution, construction, or services.
  • Understanding of electrification, automation & digitalization solutions for mining and process industries.
  • Bachelor's or Technology degree in Engineering, Technology, or Project Management.
  • Strong entrepreneurial, interpersonal, negotiation, collaboration, and communication skills. Always seek win-win solutions.
  • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and internet applications.
  • Experience with Salesforce, SAP, financial transactions, and contractual law.
  • Fluent in spoken and written French; knowledge of Spanish is an asset.
