About The Role

Schedule: 5x2 8 hour days or 4x3 10 hour days (Mon-Thur or Tues-Fri)

Position Reports To: Health Safety and Training Superintendent

Duration: Permanent, Full Time

Position Overview

The Training Supervisor is responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing employee training programs related to Health and Safety Programs and equipment. They ensure that training initiatives meet organizational standards and objectives, enhance employee skills, and comply with regulatory requirements. The role involves supervising training staff, coordinating activities, and assessing program effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Needs Assessment – Identify training needs and develop tailored solutions
• Training Delivery – Conduct or oversee training sessions, utilizing Deswick ops for scheduling
• Performance Monitoring – Evaluate training effectiveness and implement improvements
• Compliance – Ensure adherence to industry regulations, safety standards, and policies
• Administrative Duties – Manage training schedules, resources, and contractor management (ISNetworld)
• Supervision and Leadership – Lead and support a team of trainers
• Training Program Implementation – Design and update training materials, coordinate external training as needed
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance on safety process improvements and capital projects

Qualifications

• Grade 12 equivalent with 3-5 years in training facilitation and planning; at least 2 years in supervision
• Experience in mining, industrial, chemical, or safety-sensitive environments
• Leadership and motivational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with Learning Management Systems; INXIntuition preferred
• Experience with ISNetworld, Deswick Ops, Microsoft Office, Power BI preferred
• BC Mine Supervisor Certificate and Train the Trainer certification preferred

Other Requirements

Candidates must participate in a qualification process including:

• Pre-placement functional screening
• Valid Class 5 driver's license
• Eligibility to work in Canada
• Proof of education requirements

Compensation

The salary range is $125,000 to $135,000, with benefits and bonus plan. Relocation or travel accommodations are the responsibility of the candidate. Submit applications by May 23, 2025.
