Job Description
What You’ll Do :

Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Broker Service, you’ll assist members by providing product and service information, resolving member complaints, and assessing risks for automobile and property policies.

The core parts of your role will be to :
  1. Respond to telephone inquiries and written requests, process changes into the system, apply underwriting standards, assess risks, and answer general account inquiries.
  2. Resolve product and service problems by clarifying complaints, determining causes, selecting solutions, explaining, expediting corrections, following up, and recommending improvements to management.
  3. Attract potential members by answering questions, providing information about products and services, and meeting or surpassing sales objectives.
  4. Process rewrites and remarket following established guidelines.
  5. File and document insurance transactions, maintain and update rate manuals, and communicate new coverage announcements.
  6. Maintain logs and review contentious issues for discussion with management.
Qualifications

This is the unique blend of skills and experience we seek in an ideal candidate:

  1. A RIBO license is required; candidates not yet licensed will be enrolled in training and must obtain their license within three months.
  2. Completion or commitment to complete CIP Principles and Practice, Property 1, and Automobile courses, or equivalent.
  3. Experience in personal lines automobile and property insurance is an asset.
  4. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
