Customer Service Broker, Home & Auto Insurance (Operating as Dyck Insurance)

Job Description

Reporting to the Assistant Manager, you will assist members by providing product and service information, resolving complaints, and assessing risks for automobile and property policies.

Your core responsibilities will include :

  • Responding to telephone inquiries and written requests, processing changes, applying underwriting standards, assessing risks, and answering account inquiries.
  • Resolving product and service issues by clarifying complaints, determining causes, selecting solutions, explaining them, expediting corrections, following up, and recommending improvements.
  • Attracting potential members by answering questions, providing product information, obtaining ex-dates, and meeting sales objectives.
  • Processing rewrites and remarketing following established guidelines.
  • Filing and documenting insurance transactions, maintaining rate manuals, and updating coverage information.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive log and diary system, reviewing contentious issues with management as needed.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have :

  • An AIC license.
  • Completion or commitment to complete CIP Principles and Practice, Property 1, and Automobile courses or equivalent.
  • Experience in personal lines automobile and property insurance is an asset.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
