What is the opportunity?

We are seeking a Private Banker to manage and advise ultra-high net worth (UHNW) clients on complex financial needs. The role involves delivering exceptional, personalized service to UHNW clients virtually or in person, focusing on wealth planning, credit, cash management, and daily banking. The candidate will attract new UHNW clients by building a strong local network and deepen existing relationships through discovery and advice. They will represent RBC as a steward of UHNW clients, connecting clients with the right solutions, partners, and capabilities across RBC.

What will you do?

  1. Lead with a growth mindset, focusing on profitable growth through new household acquisition and delivering exceptional client experiences.
  2. Provide high-end relationship management and proactive advice to UHNW households to build loyalty.
  3. Deliver client-centric solutions by introducing clients to the appropriate RBC partners, such as Wealth Management Advisors or Business Financial Services.
  4. Engage with the community to stay relevant to existing and prospective clients, enabling proactive advice beyond immediate needs.
  5. Build and maintain relationships with external Centres of Influence and internal partners to acquire new clients and grow the portfolio.
  6. Introduce clients to the Client Relationship Team, including Private Banking Associates and Advisors, and Credit Structures team for credit advice and solutions, supporting a team approach to client needs.
  7. Represent Private Banking as an RBC ambassador.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • 5-10 years of experience advising and providing solutions to Very High Net Worth clients (personal and business).
  • Thorough understanding of HNW financial sales and client relationship management.
  • Investment Funds in Canada (IFIC) or CSC and Financial Planning (PFP) designation.

Nice to have

  • Professional designations (e.g., FEA, MBA, LL.B., CFA, CPA).
  • Experience with complex credit.
