Qualifications

  • Minimum 7-10 years of banking and credit services experience required.

Job Description:

TD Wealth, Private Wealth Management provides high-net worth & ultra-high-net worth clients with holistic discovery and planning towards customized wealth advice and solutions. As part of TD Wealth Private Wealth Management, Private banking specializes in offering tailored banking solutions and Credit Management to affluent HNW clients.

The Senior Private Banker – Business Owner is accountable for acquiring new business and managing relationships by providing personalized financial services, with significant focus on complex credit solutions to high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients that are referred to TD Wealth from Business Banking.

This role offers a white glove service experience to the highest value and sophisticated Private Banking clients, offering them day-to-day banking, financial and complex credit solutions.

Accountabilities

  • Acquire new HNW and UHNW clients through internal and external sources with a focus on Commercial Banking clients
  • Onboard clients and act as a trusted RM for those introduced to PB from TD Commercial Banking
  • Work closely with Commercial Banking & Business Banking partners to support a One TD model when dealing with client requirements.
  • Recommend, implement and service of all banking related products and solutions (medium to high complexity credit solutions and cash management).
  • Stay highly engaged with Credit Solutions Group (CSG) to offer highly complex credit solutions
  • Perform in-depth Discovery sessions with clients to understand their goals and objectives.
  • Identify referral opportunities and coordinate a team of One TD Partners/Advisors to work collaboratively.
  • Lead, motivate and develop relationships with internal and external business partners/stakeholders.
  • Maintain an active pipeline of clients referred and establish contact planning practices.
  • Understand and interpret the elements of Financial Planning Plans.
  • Participate in the local community by acting as a brand ambassador in support of TDBG charities and initiatives.
  • Work closely with key partners in Private Wealth Management to provide clients with integrated HNW solutions.

Educational Requirements

  • Undergraduate Degree
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in providing banking and credit services
  • Completion of Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or Investment Funds in Canada (IFIC)
  • Completion of the Personal Financial Planner (PFP) or Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation within 3 years of start date

Skills You will Require

  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit with a proven track record of prospecting and successfully signing new clients
  • Strong product knowledge across all asset classes
  • Ability to influence relationships and broad network of external advisors
  • Proven experience communicating difficult sales concepts
  • Possess deep knowledge of all Banking Products and credit, cash management, investments and specifically complex credit.
  • Proven ability to identify Banking, Wealth and Commercial opportunities for referral.
  • Strong knowledge of banking and risk, operations and procedures.
