Reportsto: Inclusive Education Coordinator
IN-HOME:As the EA, you will play a vital role in carrying out pre-planned lessons and life skills activities that cater to the unique requirements of your students. Your dedication and commitment will be instrumental in helping students with therapy follow-up, engaging them in home learning activities and virtual programming, and collaborating effectively as part of a cohesive team. The children have a range of learning and behavioural needs that require a compassionate and flexible EA. As an EA, you will receive support from therapists, a home learning support teacher, parents, and our Special Education Coordinator. This collaborative environment will enable you to thrive in your role and make a significant difference in the lives of your students.
IN-CLASS: Educational Assistants are key members of our dynamic classroom teams. They assist in our inclusive classrooms to ensure all students, including those with disabilities, are supported and benefit from learning activities and instruction. They will also help the classroom teacher with a variety of organization tasks such as taking attendance, preparing learning materials and directing small groups.
