Position Overview

The Special Projects Manager (SPM) reports to the Executive Director, Operations & Administration, and provides guidance and coordination for large-scale technology projects and the construction of a new school building. The SPM offers professional project management and analytical expertise throughout all project phases, including oversight, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and successful completion aligned with the School's organizational and business goals.

Qualifications
  • Education: Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Business, Computer Science, Engineering)
  • Knowledge: Current and applied knowledge of project management methodologies, PMBOK, systems development lifecycle frameworks, quality assurance, and testing techniques.
Experience
  • Proven ability to oversee the development and implementation of large-scale IT projects, including leading project teams in both physical and virtual environments.
Skills
  • Strong IT project management skills, including research, planning, organizational skills, and budget management.
  • Knowledge of ERP, CRM, e-business, open source, and custom applications.
  • Ability to assess resource needs and ensure appropriate resource allocation throughout project lifecycles.
  • Capacity to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective research, presentation, and report writing abilities.
  • Leadership and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Diplomatic judgment, tact, and high confidentiality standards.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, and project management tools such as MS Project and Wrike.
  • Willingness to learn new systems, technologies, and project management methods.
