Job description

Parts/Detail Technician

Department: Parts/Service

Purpose: This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all internal and external customers through selling, receiving, and delivering parts and accessories through face-to-face interaction and telephone customer service. This role is the first impression customers have of Battle River Implements; therefore, a high level of customer service is required.

Responsibilities:

1. Promotes and sells products and/or services to meet customer needs.
2. Supplies Service Technicians with parts as required.
3. Assists with preparing and maintaining merchandise store displays.
4. Verifies receipting of incoming and outgoing shipments and assists with placing Machine Down and Stock Orders in their proper inventory locations.
5. Follows company processes and procedures with shipping and receiving of all goods and services.
6. Assists in keeping the parts department clean and orderly.
7. Contacts customers in a timely manner to notify them when their special order is ready for pickup.
8. Follows up on shortages and expedites issues by reporting to the manager.
9. Assists in maintaining all departmental tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working order.
10. Operates a forklift to move parts inventory as necessary.
11. Assists with the annual physical inventory verification.
12. Attends and participates in in-house or external training programs and/or Department meetings as requested by management.
13. Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
14. Performs other duties assigned by management or directly related to customer service.

Experience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge:

• A farming background is preferred.
• Very competitive wages based on apprenticeship level.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
