Description

Amrep Mfg Co LLC is seeking an Electrical Engineer responsible for designing, documenting, testing, improving, and leading the development of electrical devices and/or equipment. This role involves managing and developing a team of employees and collaborating with all plant departments. The position reports to the Engineering Manager.

Salary Range : $95,500 - $110,000 (Based on experience)

• Evaluate electrical systems and components to propose and implement improvements
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment (on-site and off-site on occasions)
• Create electrical manuals with troubleshooting guidelines per unit
• Train team members on electrical systems, assembly processes, and best practices
• Communicate with OEMs for electrical system vehicle integration
• Perform project-related electrical engineering tasks including proposals, design, calculations, and cost estimations
• Train technicians in programming vehicle ECUs and ECMs
• Ensure a safe and positive work environment
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
• 3+ years of electrical engineering experience
• 3+ years of experience with CAN bus communication and diagnostics of vehicle components (J1939 Protocol preferred)
• 3+ years of experience using CAD software (AutoCAD)
• Effective prioritization and deadline management skills
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Bilingual skills in English & Spanish are preferred but not required
