Job description

Exposant 3 (E3) is a consulting firm specializing in management and information technology. With team members based in Canada and Europe, we support both public and private organizations in their digital and organizational transformations, placing innovation and people at the heart of our projects.

As part of our growth, we are looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer who will be responsible for developing hardened, scalable automated systems and platforms for the creation of cloud application workloads. The ideal candidate will need to enact an engineering mindset to tactically design and operationalize solutions which will enable developers and DevOps engineers across the entire organization.

The platform engineer will appropriately assess and implement coding, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), pipeline, tooling, or process solutions to make a measurable impact on our end users. Solutions should be well-rounded, easy to adopt, and built with the customer in mind through frequent engagement and discovery. Key responsibilities include contributing to enterprise standards, peer reviewing solutions, communicating solutions clearly, participating in planning ceremonies, and innovating to enhance the developer experience.

Under the supervision of the leadership team, you will be responsible for various tasks aimed at optimizing the company’s daily operations:

Job Accountabilities

• Create enterprise-grade Infrastructure as Code solution frameworks for secure, standardized architectures (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK).
• Contribute to knowledge sharing initiatives through documentation, training, and knowledge sharing sessions.
• Provide support and troubleshooting to end users via appropriate channels.
• Integrate multiple tools into a single platform ecosystem – Kong, AWS, Artifactory, Dynatrace.
• Collaborate with partner teams to design, review, and plan initiatives. Engage with stakeholders to shape the product roadmap.
• Deliver innovative solutions and improve the developer experience with a customer-first mindset.

Required Skills and Qualities

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a related field such as Computer Science.
• If holding a Bachelor’s degree, 8+ years of experience in software engineering or DevOps roles focusing on cloud infrastructure automation.
• Certifications such as AWS Cloud Practitioner or AWS Certified DevOps Professional.
• Experience designing and managing highly available, scalable, and secure cloud-based infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of networking, security best practices, and monitoring tools.
• Experience architecting and implementing scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proficiency in one or more IaC tools (CloudFormation, Terraform, AWS CDK).
• Proficiency in programming languages (Python, Go, or similar) and scripting (Bash / PowerShell).
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline templates and infrastructure as code.
• Hands-on experience with automation platforms like Harness is preferred.
• Extensive experience with AWS services (ECS Fargate, EKS, Lambda, IAM).
• Experience implementing enterprise-wide secure patterns is preferred.
• Familiarity with Agile/SDLC methodologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace.
• Deep understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with Harness, GitHub Actions, Artifactory is preferred.
