• Work direction from the Lead Hand and Production Supervisor

Requirements

• The incumbent should have as a minimum Grade 12 Diploma including Chemistry, recognized equivalent or post-secondary education in a laboratory or chemical discipline.
• Oral and written proficiency in English and Math is essential. The incumbent should ideally have a proven record of experience with computer-based systems, such as SAP (or similar), email, spreadsheets, etc.
• The ability to work independently, organize and prioritize tasks is essential.
• Previous work experience in a chemical or industrial facility is preferred.
• Knowledge of Management systems, e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 14001, would be an advantage.
• Previous experience using a forklift would be an advantage.
• Good housekeeping and self-driven work habits are essential.
• Good attendance and safety record.
• Ability to effectively work as part of a team.
• Must be flexible to take on new duties as required; take initiative to solve problems; and take ownership of the outcome of their work.
