QUALIFICATIONS

• Active practicing licensure with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM), or eligible for active practicing licensure with the CLPNM
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Training as delineated in Prairie Mountain Health Policy PPG-00002 CPR Training
• Proficiency with Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), Internet applications, and other IT tools
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Provider (P) and Renewal (R)
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) Provider and Recertification
• Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP)
• Introduction to Fetal Heart Monitoring (online course)
• Fetal Health Surveillance
• Demonstrated organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Flexibility to adapt to changing techniques and procedures
• Knowledge and competence related to the position
• Effective communication skills
• Respect and promote confidentiality and cultural diversity
• Ability to perform duties regularly and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and clients

POSITION SUMMARY

In alignment with Prairie Mountain Health's vision, mission, and values, the Licensed Practical Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to patients/residents/clients according to established standards, policies, and procedures. They practice within the scope of the Licensed Practical Nurses Act, CLPNM standards, provincial and federal legislation, and professional ethics.
