Requirements

We are searching for a candidate with:

  • High School Diploma
  • Proven experience working in a supervisory role in the plastics industry.
  • A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience within a fast-paced, continuous process Canadian manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience managing and supervising in a union-represented environment is helpful.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sharp production focus with a drive for accurate results.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and technical mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft, ERP skills.
  • Purchasing experience will be an asset.
  • This position requires the ability to work in Canada without sponsorship or immigration restrictions.
  • Any other responsibilities deemed necessary by leadership team.
Duties And Responsibilities

A typical day may include:

  • Implement the company’s safety program to ensure safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment.
  • Manage a department and direct the work of two or more subordinates.
  • Recommend hiring, firing, discipline, promotion, demotion of employees within span of control.
  • Resolve worker grievances/complaints or escalate to management.
  • Communicate departmental and plant-wide goals to employees.
  • Review production orders or schedules to plan department operations.
  • Plan production operations, establishing priorities and sequencing.
  • Review scrap and operating reports, resolve operational problems.
  • Familiarity with 5s, KPIs, problem investigation, standardized work, and auditing for compliance.
  • Develop or revise operational practices, ensure safety standards compliance.
  • Manage production data and maintain relationships with union representatives.

  • Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM & 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
