Job description

Are you an experienced employment attorney looking for a dynamic and flexible role? One of our oldest and largest clients is seeking talented attorneys with a minimum of seven years of experience to join their team as Special Counsel. This client offers fully remote capabilities for candidates licensed in the state of California.

About the Role :

  • This mostly remote position focuses on handling administrative charges, attorney demand letters, and employment litigation for a diverse range of clients, including those with Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI). As Special Counsel, you will :
  • Directly handle employment matters and supervise others.
  • Develop case strategies, draft and review work products.
  • Conduct depositions and represent clients at hearings, conferences, and trials.
  • Collaborate with partners and a team of attorneys, supported by paralegals and a shared secretarial pool.

Your primary focus will be on administrative charges, demand letters, and single-plaintiff litigation, with potential involvement in class actions and PAGA cases. Some local travel may be required.

Qualifications :

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Over seven years of experience in employment law and litigation.
  • Preferred : Experience in a law firm, handling EPLI matters, and bar admission in California.
