Contribute to the success of the Digital Banking Unit in Canada by executing specific goals, plans, and initiatives aligned with the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensure all activities comply with regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
- Write well-designed, testable, efficient code using best software development practices.
- Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs.
- Create and maintain software documentation.
- Collaborate with the Scrum team to plan milestones, successfully deliver software, and escalate issues as needed.
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and culture should influence daily activities and decisions.
- Promote effective operations in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles, ensuring robust business controls to meet operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk obligations.
- Foster a high-performance and inclusive work environment.
Do you have the skills to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you possess:
- Deep knowledge of programming languages, frameworks, utilities, and technologies used by the team (React & Node.js).
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with React.js & Node.js.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Proven leadership abilities to guide team members with diverse opinions and experience levels.
- Project management skills to plan and execute both short- and long-term plans.
- Effective organization, planning, and time management skills.
