Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides administrative support to Station Managers and Regional Training Manager pertaining to Training and Development matters.
- Assists in conducting training sessions as necessary.
- Coordinates training bookings both internally and externally.
- Reports breaches of statutory requirements or company best practices to management.
- Prepares weekly Training reports reflecting attendance.
- Completes monthly training compliance reports for the station.
- Participates in training audits (daily, monthly, annually) and assists management with corrective actions.
- Develops monthly and annual training plans for the station.
- Ensures that the Station Training Matrix and LMS system are up to date and accurate.
- Ensures Airline Training Matrix is current and all training is completed.
- Works with Station Manager to schedule employee training before expiry.
- Maintains compliance with all governmental, regulatory, customer, and company policies related to training.
- Receives and forwards daily attendance records to Station Management and Regional Training Manager.
- Enters and encodes daily training attendance at the station level for all interventions.
- Ensures station compliance with customer and company training policies and procedures.
- Conducts monthly meetings with Training Departments and Station Management to review safety trends and develop improvement plans.
- Attends SSAG meetings and assists in retrieving relevant training records for investigations.
- Participates in SQRB meetings and supports in obtaining training compliance records.
- Assists during incident investigations by providing relevant training documentation.
- Prepares and distributes reports as needed.
- Conducts annual training reviews for all Station Trainers.
- Performs other duties as required.
Required Skills
- Must obtain and retain Transport Canada Security Clearance.
- Experience in Training department is beneficial.
- Thorough knowledge of Menzies Aviation AGOM.
- Thorough understanding of Airline GOMs.
- During probation, familiarize with all training methods, including in-class, on-the-job, LMS, employee recertification, and compliance.
- Senior Certificate with at least five (5) years of experience in airline/airport operations.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work extended hours on short notice during non-routine operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Understanding of airport operational environment.
- Experience with health and safety management.
- Thorough understanding of airline and Menzies Aviation training requirements.
- Previous Menzies Aviation experience is advantageous.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs when required.
Additional Information
- Applicants must be Canadian citizens, legal residents, or authorized to work in Canada, and at least 25 years old.
- Availability for extended hours when needed.
- Position may require occasional travel.
