Position Summary :

The Master Data Expert oversees operational aspects of master data management within the organization. This role ensures the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of enterprise master data, especially within SAP R/3 and S/4HANA systems. The expert collaborates with various business units to develop data standards and governance policies, aiming to improve data quality. By aligning master data initiatives with digital transformation goals, this role contributes to operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making.

1. Assist in executing the master data management strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and digital transformation efforts.
2. Develop and enforce data standards, processes, and governance models to maintain data integrity across all units and systems.
3. Participate in data quality reviews, identifying and implementing corrective actions to enhance data accuracy and reduce inconsistencies.
4. Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to design and support technological solutions that improve data quality, including automation tools.
5. Support integration of master data processes with supply chain, finance, and customer relationship management.
6. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing data workflows and system functionalities.
7. Assist in planning and executing data migration projects, ensuring standards and quality benchmarks are met.
8. Serve as a point of contact for master data inquiries, supporting resolution efforts and stakeholder communication.
9. Help develop training programs and documentation to promote data governance understanding within the organization.
10. Stay informed on industry trends, evaluating new tools and methodologies for master data management.
11. Support KPIs to measure master data initiatives' effectiveness, contributing to reports and recommendations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business informatics, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in SAP and master data management or related roles.
• A master's degree or over 7 years of relevant experience is an asset.
• Basic project management skills and experience supporting data projects.
• Strong communication skills to explain data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience supporting digital transformation projects focused on data management.
• Interest in emerging technologies and their application to data analytics.
• Extensive experience with SAP modules like SAP MM and SAP MDG.
• Proven data quality management experience, including cleansing and validation.
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex data sets.
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices.
• Experience in change management related to data initiatives.
• Proficiency in data modeling, SQL, and visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and mentor juniors.
