Job Description :

As a Principal Hardware Engineer, you will design, develop, and deliver Mechanical assemblies, including full chassis design for Ultra High-performance and power electronic products. You may also provide technical leadership to a small design team. We seek candidates who thrive in a fast-paced, start-up-like environment and are proud of delivering high-quality products. Our teams are small and highly experienced, owning all aspects of Mechanical design, including BOM creation, vendor negotiations, product aesthetics, design, development, and validation, with a focus on DFM. Our cradle-to-grave lifecycle approach involves ownership beyond product shipping, including customer trials, field issues, and product sustaining.

You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams of Hardware, ASIC, Signal, Mechanical, Thermal, Diagnostic, Packaging, and Manufacturing engineers. Joint development programs may involve extensive interaction with partner engineering teams.

Key Qualifications & Experience :

• High-powered production enclosures capable of cooling 2kW / RU+
• Power and Thermal issues related to PCBs with 1kW+ footprints
• Proven collaboration with production and manufacturing teams to streamline processes, improve quality, and ensure smooth transitions from design to production
• Knowledge of US, European, and Asian regulations and standards to ensure safety and environmental compliance
• Lifecycle product ownership of complex products, from inception to volume production
• Ability to work with support groups such as Sales, Marketing, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Customer Support, Compliance, Safety, and Sustainability
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 12+ years of experience

Beneficial Experience :

• Experience as a Small Team Lead or proven technical mentor
