Job Description:

As a Principal Mechanical Engineer, you will design, develop, and deliver mechanical assemblies, including full chassis design for ultra high-performance and power electronic products. You may provide technical leadership to a small design team. We seek candidates who thrive in a fast-paced, start-up-like environment and are committed to delivering high-quality products. Our team of highly experienced engineers owns all aspects of mechanical design, including BOM creation, vendor negotiations, product aesthetics, design, development, and validation. DFM is a critical component of our development process. Our cradle-to-grave lifecycle approach means ownership extends beyond product shipment, including customer trials, field issues, and product sustaining.

You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams comprising hardware, ASIC, signal, mechanical, thermal, diagnostic, packaging, and manufacturing engineers. Joint development programs may also involve extensive interaction with partner engineering teams.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Designing high-powered production enclosures capable of cooling 2kW/RU+
• Addressing power and thermal issues related to PCBs with 1kW+ footprints
• Proven collaboration with production and manufacturing teams to streamline processes, improve quality, and ensure smooth transitions from design to production
• Understanding of US, European, and Asian regulations and standards to ensure safety and environmental compliance
• Lifecycle product ownership of complex products, from inception to volume production
• Working with support groups such as Sales, Marketing, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Customer Support, Compliance, Safety, and Sustainability
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 12+ years of experience
