We’re hiring: Procurement Specialist

Are you a detail-driven, strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment? Rainbow is looking for a permanent, full-time Procurement Specialist to support and enhance our growing supply chain operations. In this key role, you’ll work closely with the Supply Chain Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of our procurement activities—from supplier sourcing and contract negotiation to inventory management and cost optimization.

What You’ll Do

• Coordinate procurement of hardgoods, growing media, and distribution supplies to support production schedules
• Source, evaluate, and manage supplier relationships; negotiate pricing and contracts
• Create, issue, and track purchase orders from initiation through to invoice approval
• Review supplier contracts for accuracy and compliance with internal policies
• Conduct annual supplier performance reviews and recommend improvements
• Design and implement procurement policies and efficiency initiatives
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with departments to forecast demand
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, pricing databases, and supplier documentation
• Support the annual Master Grow Plan with reporting and procurement input
• Analyze market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities
  
  

What You Bring To The Role

• 3–5+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management
• Strong negotiation and contract review skills
• Experience in horticulture, agriculture, or a large-scale production environment is an asset
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in ERP systems
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong communicator and collaborative team player, able to bring out the best in everyone

Compensation
