Homewood Health is actively seeking registered mental health professionals interested in providing service on an occasional, contract basis for our Homewood Health Stay at Work Services and Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) in Kamloops, BC.

Our EFAP providers deliver short-term, solutions-oriented counselling, working with issues such as depression, anxiety, interpersonal skills, workplace challenges, stress management, and addictions. They are able to work with individuals, couples, and families.

What you'll be doing

1. Provide short-term, highly focused, solution-oriented counseling to address concerns such as depression, anxiety, interpersonal skills, workplace challenges, relationship issues, stress management, and addictions.
2. Work with adult individuals, couples, families, and children.
3. Provide telephonic counseling for clients in crisis.
4. Adhere to professional standards and best practices.
5. Participate in in-house training and meetings as required.

What we're looking for

1. Master’s Degree in a counselling-related field or Bachelor of Social Work degree with appropriate registration and counselling experience.
2. Registration or clinical membership with a regulatory college or body in your province of practice.
3. At least 3 years of experience in counselling, social services, or addiction service settings.
4. Experience working in the EFAP field is an asset.
5. Professional liability insurance coverage of $2,000,000 or as otherwise determined by Homewood Health.
6. Proficiency in providing counselling services in English or French is required; proficiency in additional languages is a strong asset.
7. Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook).
