We are looking for a highly-motivated Software Engineer II to assist us building APIs, SDKs, Libraries, and Frameworks for the next generation Identity platform. These products are to be used by the development team of our customers to build user-facing software. This role requires a developer that can take ideas from concept to reality and work well in a fast-paced, collaborative, cross-functional team of product managers, software engineers, and data scientists in an internationally focused organization.

The ideal applicant will have basic development experience with APIs and frameworks; good analytical and creative problem-solving skills; be passionate about research, innovation, and experimentation for delivering the best possible developer and user experience within an inclusive and respectful environment. What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Develop IAM-related (Identity & Access Management) mobile applications and tooling
  • Work alongside our customers and partners, helping define the functional specifications for how the our SDK will integrate with their applications based on product requirements
  • Participate in development life cycle activities like design, coding, testing and production release of the client SDKs
  • Provide developer support to our customers and partners as they design, implement and test their applications using the client SDKs
  • Provide on-going support to help the customer adopt the client SDKs and to assist if the customer experiences issues
  • Assist customer development teams in performing code reviews to ensure best practice and high-quality code
  • Debug production issues across services and levels of the Advance Identity Cloud (AIC) integration with the SDKs
  • Thrive in a rapidly changing environment, continuously working to adapt to ever-evolving customer needs
  • Pair with other engineers to deliver world-class solutions
What You Bring:
  • 2+ years of experience in software development
  • 1 year of experience in mobile application development (iOS, Android, or cross-platform), with experience on React Native
    • iOS Skills: Swift, Objective C, Cocoa
    • Android Skills: Java, Kotlin, Android SDK
    • Basic knowledge of React Native best practices and architecture
  • Basic knowledge of building sharable and reusable code
  • Basic knowledge of authentication, authorization, and identity management
  • Background working in an Agile environment
  • Basic knowledge in debugging, code analysers/profilers and unit testing tools
  • Integration of third party libraries and APIs
  • Basic knowledge of RESTful services
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
Bonus Points for:
  • Experience working within a globally distributed team
  • Proficient knowledge of Git and Git tooling
  • Strong handle on Agile/Scrum Methodologies
  • Experience with application security practices (OWASP Top 10)
  • Experience with systems at large scale
  • Docker, Kubernetes, and VM experience

Salary: CAD $83,000-116,000
In accordance with Pay Transparency Act the approximate compensation range for this role in Canada is listed above. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors, such as knowledge, skills, and abilities.
