Employment Type: Permanent Full-time

Location: Regina, Southern Region, Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement

Salary Range: $19.50 - $24.44 hourly, Grade: SGEU.03

About the Ministry

SaskBuilds and Procurement is where infrastructure, procurement, real property, facility management, logistics, and information technology meet to support the Government of Saskatchewan’s Growth Plan and services for citizens and communities.

Position Overview

The Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement is offering a permanent full-time Facility Service Worker position. The successful candidate will handle maintenance tasks and respond to client service requests in Government buildings.

Responsibilities
  1. Maintain heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems daily.
  2. Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment.
  3. Conduct daily cleaning and minor repairs in buildings.
  4. Ensure sidewalks, roadways, and parking lots are cleared of ice and snow during winter for safety.
  5. Address and complete assigned client requests.
Qualifications

Candidates should have a working knowledge of building operations and maintenance, with the ability to perform minor repairs, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs to restore operations. Physical fitness is required to perform manual activities, including climbing ladders and lifting heavy objects. A valid driver’s license is necessary. A 5th Class Power Engineering ticket is an asset but not mandatory.

Work Hours

37.33 hours per week, with one day off every three weeks, regulated by SGEU.
