Our firm is seeking a Senior Litigation Lawyer to join our dynamic team and provide exceptional legal representation to our corporate clientele. If you have a strong background in commercial litigation and a track record of delivering results, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities :
- Represent business clients in litigation matters, including commercial disputes, contract disputes, employment litigation, lease disputes, and regulatory issues.
- Provide strategic legal advice on litigation risk management, dispute resolution, and potential outcomes.
- Conduct legal research, analyze cases, and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and court filings.
- Collaborate with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders to develop effective litigation strategies tailored to each client.
- Manage all aspects of litigation, including discovery, motions, settlement negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
- Mentor junior associates and legal staff, providing guidance and support.
Qualifications :
- LL.B. or J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
- At least 8 years of experience in litigation law, focusing on representing business clients.
- Proven expertise in handling complex commercial litigation from start to finish.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build client relationships.
- Ability to work independently and in teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience mentoring junior lawyers and legal staff.
- Business acumen and a client-focused approach.
- Fluency in English; additional French language skills are a plus.
