Here's how a Building Systems Coordinator for our Saskatoon office contributes to our team:

Responsibilities
  1. Lead the coordination drawing process and provide direction on model coordination as required.
  2. Review and understand prime contracts and building systems subcontract details, ensuring effective contract management of trade contractors.
  3. Assist with reviewing change notices and orders related to building systems for pricing, scope, and schedule impacts.
  4. Liaise with utility providers to ensure timely service provision as per project schedule.
  5. Review submissions of trade contractor quality management programs for completeness and compliance with project specifications.
  6. Attend management, owner, and architect meetings related to building systems.
  7. Coordinate and monitor trades activity and enforce quality management programs.
  8. Support and adhere to internal safety programs.
  9. Understand temporary services requirements for projects.
Qualifications
  1. High school diploma or equivalent required; tradesperson or post-secondary diploma/degree in related disciplines (e.g., mechanical, electrical, controls) preferred.
  2. 2 to 3 years of progressive experience in mechanical/electrical construction preferred.
  3. Understanding of mechanical and/or electrical systems, principles, and practices.
  4. Demonstrated flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, architectural, civil, and structural drawings.
  6. Knowledge of building codes and standards.
  7. Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and delegate.
  8. Ability to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
  9. Understanding of architectural and trade scopes.
