Building Systems Coordinator - Saskatoon Office

As a Building Systems Coordinator, you will contribute to our team by:

  1. Leading the coordination drawing process and providing direction on model coordination as required.
  2. Reviewing and understanding prime contracts and subcontract details related to building systems, ensuring proper contract management of trade contractors.
  3. Assisting with review of change notices and orders related to building systems for pricing, scope, and schedule impacts.
  4. Liaising with utility providers to ensure timely service delivery aligned with project schedules.
  5. Reviewing trade contractor quality management programs for completeness and compliance with project specifications.
  6. Participating in management, owner, and architect meetings related to building systems.
  7. Coordinating and monitoring trades activities, ensuring adherence to quality management programs.
  8. Supporting and adhering to internal safety programs.
  9. Understanding temporary services requirements for projects.
Qualifications
  1. High school diploma or equivalent required; tradesperson or post-secondary diploma/degree in a related discipline (e.g., mechanical, electrical, controls) preferred.
  2. 2 to 3 years of progressive experience in mechanical/electrical construction preferred.
  3. Understanding of mechanical and/or electrical systems, principles, and practices.
  4. Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, architectural, civil, and structural drawings.
  6. Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
  7. Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  8. Ability to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
  9. Understanding of architectural and trade scopes.
