The Details :

• Permanent, full-time positions available for licensed Electricians
• Location: 821 Appleby Line, Burlington, Ontario
• Hourly Rate: $43.00 / hour
• End times vary based on production; flexibility is necessary
• We are a pork processing facility

Job Tasks :

• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues
• Maintain all mechanical equipment in the plant
• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs, PDMs), corrective maintenance (CM), and work orders on equipment
• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively
• Repair and work on conveyors, industrial equipment, pumps, grinders, welding equipment, lathes, power tools, fans, blowers, hydraulic systems, packaging equipment, and pneumatic equipment
• Proficient in repairs and troubleshooting
• Work effectively in a team environment
• Full knowledge of hand and power tools
• Assist with installation of equipment
• Follow GMP rules and maintenance-specific GMP protocols
• Respond to work requests and implement corrective actions
• Manage inventory and labor using a computerized maintenance program

Requirements :

• Must hold a 442A or 309A Electrical license
• Industrial knowledge and PLC background are assets
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted
• Ability to work under conditions such as extreme heat or cold
• Minimum 18 years old and legally eligible to work in Canada
• Effective communication skills in English
• Own tools are required
• Previous experience as an Electrician is necessary
