Packaging Data Tech
The Packaging Data Tech supports the packaging department by documenting the consumption of materials in SAP to accurately reflect the cost of each process order. To support this function the Packaging Data Tech also monitors inventory levels of packaging materials at the site to ensure the correct materials are available at the time of production. The Packaging Data Tech interfaces with the Processing Planner Manager, the Seeds Processing Planner and Warehouse daily to plan transfer of materials for the production schedule. The Packaging Data Tech will plan and communicate the production schedule with the planned seed releases to the Yard staff and Packaging Support Group. This role also supports the Warehouse Manager with annual inventory count and reconciliation. The Packaging Data Tech acts to file and store paper documentation for the department including consumption reports, tool box meeting minutes, training documents and variety change and lot change checklists.

Education
• High School Diploma, post-secondary schooling considered an asset
Experience
• Reviewing work instructions and creating training plans
• Facilitating training to individuals and groups
• Production, warehousing, agriculture work experience would be considered an asset
Knowledge/Skills
• Knowledge and experience with SAP, Microsoft Office and Teams is an asset
• Understanding of cost accounting concepts and inventory practices
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Time management skills
• Sound decision making and organizational skills
• Ability to present information and facilitate to a variety of audiences
• Ability to work multiple shift schedules and overtime hours to ensure processes are maintained to meet schedules. Some weekend work may be required
