Job description

We are currently seeking an Experienced Ergonomist to join our growing team of engineering and ergonomics professionals. The role details are as follows:

Successful candidates will possess the following attributes:
  • A professional appearance and manner, outgoing personality, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, and competent customer-facing representation
  • Experience in business communication, including formal presentations, reports, and professional documents
  • Ability to prioritize, work independently, and collaborate effectively
  • Knowledge of NIOSH lifting equations, Liberty Mutual Tables, ACGIH TLV, RULA, REBA, Digital Human Modeling, and Motion Capture Technologies
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct physical demands and ergonomic risk analyses on jobs, production lines, or entire plants
  • Perform ergonomic assessments using standard tools and/or Digital Human Modeling software, and produce detailed reports
  • Provide ergonomic support in assembly plants to identify and mitigate risks
  • Perform virtual ergonomic assessments using software like Teamcenter, Process Simulate, and Jack, with recommendations for improvements
  • Develop ergonomic standards through literature review, research, and analysis
Requirements:
  • B.S. or M.S. in Kinesiology, Industrial Engineering, Human Factors, Occupational Biomechanics, Ergonomics, or related fields
  • 1-2 years of experience in industrial ergonomics or a strong desire to learn and grow
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to work at various locations within the region
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada; verification required at hire
Additional Information:
  • Certification such as AEP, AE, or CPE is an asset
  • Work environment includes office and manufacturing plant settings
  • May require outside-of-hours work for project support
