Job description

Sr. Data Product Designer to support the delivery of 'Platform as a Product' for a large insurance client.

Duration : 12 months (possibility of extension)

Location : Remote

The Lead Data Product Designer is a role on the Platform leadership team, responsible for platform enablement and creating products tailored to the environment. Reporting to the Design Chapter Lead, this role focuses on enabling ‘Platform as a Product’ by integrating product strategies, capabilities, and features within the platform. The Lead Data Product Designer is involved throughout the feature delivery lifecycle, especially in helping customers articulate needs and understand their journey. This role is accountable for managing cross-platform dependencies and ensuring successful adoption of deliverables by customers.

Must Have Skills :

• 5+ years of experience in data architecture and design
• Experience with AWS EMR, S3, Glue, Lambda, Sagemaker, and related tools
• Experience with ETL technologies and BI tools
• Proven ability as a servant technology leader to define and implement technical strategies in complex organizations for digital product delivery

Nice To Have Skills :

• Insurance / Financial Services experience

Job Responsibilities :

• Collaborate with the platform leadership team to develop and maintain the Platform and Product roadmap
• Guide customers (business and IT) on platform and product capabilities during initial consultations
• Participate in Platform Incremental Planning (QIP) meetings to clarify customer-requested features for the platform backlog
• Assist customers in onboarding after platform feature delivery
• Support customers with best practices and knowledge articles from the platform team
• Define customer success metrics for your platform team and translate them into Platform OKRs
• Stay informed about modern capabilities and features to anticipate customer demand
• Participate in design and sprint reviews, evaluating deliverables from a customer perspective
• Conduct solution reviews with technical partners such as EA, Cloud CoE / SDE, Operations, Security, Data Governance teams
• Work with technical leads and architecture teams to ensure solutions align with architectural standards
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to data patterns and applications
• Maintain excellent customer relations and engage in high-priority interactions with clients
• Build strong relationships and communicate proactively across teams and organization levels
• Coach team members to keep skills current on build and deployment practices
• Lead by example to foster a data-driven culture, promoting data literacy and analysis within the team
