Job description

Sr. Data Product Designer to support the delivery of 'Platform as a Product' for a large insurance client.

Duration : 12 months (possibility of extension)

Location : Remote

The Lead Data Product Designer is a role on the Platform leadership team, responsible for platform enablement and creating products tailored to the environment. Reporting to the Design Chapter Lead, this role focuses on enabling ‘Platform as a Product’ by integrating product strategies, capabilities, and features within the platform. The designer is involved in all stages of feature delivery, especially in helping customers articulate needs and understand their journey. This role also ensures cross-platform and architecture dependencies are managed and that deliverables are successfully adopted by customers.

Must Have Skills :

• 5+ years of experience in data architecture and design
• Proficiency with AWS EMR, S3, Glue, Lambda, Sagemaker, and related tools
• Experience with ETL technologies and BI tools
• Proven ability as a servant technology leader to define and implement strategies within complex organizations for digital product delivery

Nice To Have Skills :

• Experience in Insurance or Financial Institutions

Job Responsibilities :

• Collaborate with platform leadership to develop and maintain the platform and product roadmap
• Guide customers (business and IT) on platform and product capabilities during initial consultations
• Participate in Platform Incremental Planning (QIP) meetings to clarify customer-requested features into the backlog
• Assist customers in onboarding after platform feature delivery
• Support customers with best practices and knowledge articles from the platform team
• Define customer success metrics and translate them into Platform OKRs in collaboration with leadership
• Stay informed about modern capabilities and features to anticipate customer demand
• Participate in design and sprint reviews, assessing deliverables from a customer perspective
• Conduct solution reviews with technical partners like EA, Cloud CoE / SDE, Operations, Security, Data Governance
• Align solutions with architectural vision and standards alongside technical and architecture teams
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to data patterns and applications
• Maintain excellent customer relations and handle high-priority interactions
• Build strong relationships and communicate proactively across teams
• Coach team members to keep skills current on build and deployment practices
• Lead by example to foster a data-driven culture, promoting data literacy and analysis
