Overview

The Contingent Labour Office’s (CLO) mandate is to partner with the business to enable an expedited and customer-centric approach to engaging external resources, while balancing commercial needs with risk mitigation. This is achieved by:

  1. Utilizing internal contingent workforce experts who stay updated on market intelligence.
  2. Acting as trusted advisors, educating, challenging the status quo, and advising on creative solutions.
  3. Delivering a customer-centric approach that minimizes administrative efforts, anticipates needs, and fosters strong relationships with Hiring Managers.

Location: Anywhere in Canada (virtual work opportunity; 1-2 days in office per month may be required).

What You Will Do

Reporting to the Leader of the Contract Labour Office (CLO), the Contract Manager will handle processes and challenges related to external resources across Canada, managing over 1000 external resources annually. Responsibilities include:

  • Advising and supporting Hiring Managers in engaging external resources.
  • Managing complex cases and escalations to ensure timely resolutions.
  • Handling contract revisions, risk assessments, and negotiations, including legal and compliance considerations.
  • Collaborating with subject-matter experts in legal, risk management, procurement, security, finance, and external providers.
  • Managing high-risk cases involving legislative compliance, security, immigration, taxation, and other legal requirements.
Candidate Responsibilities

Including but not limited to:

  • Promoting the CLO’s brand through a customer-centric approach.
  • Managing cases in KPMG’s vendor management system (Flextrack).
  • Training clients and stakeholders on system use and processes.
  • Conducting due diligence and maintaining accurate records.
  • Managing complex cases and negotiations, mediating contracts, and managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Participating in continuous improvement projects and initiatives.
  • Responding to inquiries, providing reports, and leading educational sessions.
Qualifications
  • College or university degree in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years’ experience with contract labor or contingent workforce management.
  • Experience drafting third-party agreements and liaising with multiple parties.
  • Knowledge of immigration, legal, and compliance matters.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle high volumes of cases.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel; experience with ServiceNow and Flextrack is an asset.

This position requires fluency in English. Support for or collaboration with English-speaking colleagues or stakeholders may be required.

Compensation

The expected base salary range for BC Region is $73,000 to $109,500, with potential bonuses. Salary offers are based on location, skills, and qualifications. KPMG offers a comprehensive Total Rewards program.
