The Color & Curl Concierge / Colour & Curl Specialist is our ambassador to the industry, showcasing our expertise in all aspects of color, talent development, technical skills, social media, business acumen, and sales.

Alongside daily sales responsibilities, the CCC / CCS aims to maximize sales by:

1. Enhancing customer retention and loyalty
2. Building lasting relationships to increase brand awareness and expand the hair color market share
3. Utilizing market analysis to sell approved beauty products, introduce new products and concepts, provide customer service, and conduct product education both in-store and virtually
4. Offering color & curl / texture consulting services to professional salons, barbers, spas, schools, and licensed cosmetologists

This role is essential in driving the color & curl business, requiring extensive education through online guided learning and certification courses.

Primary Duties

You will be the expert in Color & Curl / Texture, with your primary responsibilities centered around this expertise:

• Assess customer needs related to color and care, providing professional advice and product recommendations to meet client needs
• Communicate with team members and management regarding calls, visits, orders, sales progress, follow-ups, and assistance needs
• Ensure customer concerns are addressed promptly and effectively
• Maintain high standards in color and curl merchandising, store signage, and display techniques to create an inviting atmosphere consistent with brand guidelines
• Stay informed about emerging trends, adapt to market changes, and share industry knowledge with partners while refining personal sales techniques
• Ensure proper execution of store opening and closing procedures, including occasional bank deposits and cash handling

Experience and Skills Required

• Minimum one year of retail or sales-focused experience
• Licensed cosmetologist preferred in US and Canada
• Reliable transportation for effective service to designated stores and markets
• Ability to travel to shows and sales meetings as needed
• Strong business acumen with the ability to interpret sales reports
• Knowledge of retail sales, inventory systems, and visual merchandising preferred
• Proficiency with POS systems
• Comfort with computers, iPads, mobile devices, and social media platforms
• Flexibility to work additional hours and in various store locations as needed
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Professional appearance and positive interaction with the public
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must pass Color Certification Test shortly after hire to maintain employment
