A leading healthcare provider in British Columbia seeks a Nurse Practitioner to conduct comprehensive patient assessments, initiate treatments, and collaborate with healthcare teams. This role emphasizes patient safety and continuous quality improvement, requiring effective communication and clinical expertise.

The Nurse Practitioner is responsible and accountable for comprehensive assessments of patients/clients/residents, including diagnosing diseases, disorders, and conditions. The Nurse Practitioner initiates treatment, manages healthcare, performs therapeutic interventions, and prescribes medications in line with statutory, regulatory standards, limits, conditions, policies, and guidelines. They provide professional guidance to other health professionals and practice autonomously and interdependently within an interdisciplinary healthcare team, making referrals to physicians and others as appropriate.
This role collaborates with patients/clients/residents and interdisciplinary team members to identify and assess trends and patterns affecting health. It involves developing and implementing population-based and evidence-based strategies to improve health and participating in policy-making activities influencing health services and practices. The position also engages in peer review and self-assessment to evaluate service outcomes at individual, community, and population levels.
Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing NP registrant and two (2) years of recent, relevant clinical nursing experience.
