About Us

Title: Community Health Nurse – Remote (in remote community)

Salary: $94,724 – $114,261 per year (pay range explained below)

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Part time – 37.5 Hours per week, we offer 2, 3, and 4 week rotations

Location: Port Simpson – Lax Kw’alaams

Bargaining Unit: PIPSC BCFNHA Group (Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada)

About The Role
As Community Health Nurse, you will – Provide a comprehensive range of core nursing functions and services in remote First Nations communities in program areas of community and public health, primary care, and urgent and emergent care. This includes health promotion and disease and injury prevention for individuals, families, groups, communities, and populations.

About You
To be successful in this role you will have/be –
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a recognized university or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Obtain and maintain Basic Life Support Certification Level C
  • Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNM).
  • Requires a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License
  • Must be Remote certified (RNC) with BCCNM
  • Minimum one (1) year of recent point-of-care nursing experience in a related or relevant field

FNHA Community Health Nurse, have or are working towards Remote Certification (RNC) and can live anywhere in Canada. If you are currently not Remote Certified, speak with us today on how we can help you obtain your RNC, with extensive training, travel and salary paid for while you’re pursuing your certification.
