Position Description:

We are Canada's largest independent information technology services firm, and after 45 years, we're still growing! Join us as a Java Developer in our banking team.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

1. Design and develop technical solutions and roadmaps.
2. Improve software and data architecture best practices, patterns, and reference architectures.
3. Advance the architecture strategy for COO Infrastructure.
4. Perform in-depth analysis and provide detailed responses for senior stakeholders.
5. Lead as an anchor developer and guide the team in best practices.
6. Collaborate with and mentor development team members.
7. Create detailed technical solution designs that meet functional requirements.
8. Analyze and design data models, flows, and interfaces.
9. Contribute to architectural design and strategy across various disciplines.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Expertise in Java, Scala, Spark, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and Azure.
• Proficiency in cloud-based application design, architectural strategy, full-stack development, data engineering, technical leadership, and mentoring.
• Experience with databases such as DB2.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, continuous integration, and automated testing.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, technical solution design, and infrastructure governance.
• Strong analytical skills for complex problem solving and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Effective collaboration with diverse technology and business teams.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
