Job Title: Senior Accountant

Our client is a successful multi-entity, multi-location construction group looking to hire a Senior Accountant for a newly created role. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant that has construction or related industry knowledge or experience.

Reporting into the Director of Operations, this position will have you working in-office in the HQ located in the Stouffville area. Responsibilities would include but not be limited to:

1. GST and HST filing and remittances for 9 operating companies
2. Year end tax preparation and filing
3. Monthly government remittances for payroll and handling all CRA inquiries
4. Monthly bank reconciliations, GL reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations
5. Balance sheet review and reconciliations, P&L statement review and preparation
6. Month end review, adjustments, full close process and company consolidation
7. Work with the AP, AR and Payroll team to ensure accurate information is being recorded
8. Additional ad-hoc financial report preparation and review as assigned

About You!

1. CPA or equivalent
2. Minimum 6 years experience in full cycle accounting role
3. Minimum 3 years working within a multi-entity private company
4. Strong in Excel and Quickbooks Desktop is preferred
5. Strong English communication and interpersonal skills
