Qualifications

  • At least three years of cooking experience; resort experience preferred.
  • First Aid certification is an asset.

Job Description

A Chef de Partie at Sonora Resort will have a passion for delivering unique and exquisite dishes that enhance a world-class dining experience. This role requires a well-rounded and versatile cook responsible for all mise en place for their station, performing lunch or dinner service, and maintaining a clean and organized station.

Job Duties

  1. Demonstrate desired service behaviors in accordance with Relais and Chateaux standards.
  2. Receive, clean, and store all products arriving from the dock as per the chef’s standards.
  3. Ensure all daily and weekly cleaning tasks are completed to standard.
  4. Maintain their workstation to the chef’s standards.
  5. Be knowledgeable of all regular and special menu items and any daily changes.
  6. Prepare and execute all items on their assigned station.
  7. Assist in cleaning and scrubbing the entire kitchen at the end of service each day.
  8. Maintain effective working relationships and clear communication with colleagues and departments.

Qualifications

  • Legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Fluent in English; second language is an asset.
  • First Aid certification is an asset.
  • Current Food Safe Certificate.
  • Culinary Arts Levels 1, 2, or 3.
  • Red Seal certification is an asset.
  • At least three years of cooking experience; resort experience preferred.
