Job description

We are currently seeking a Salesforce Data Architect for a Contract role with one of our clients.

Duration : 12+ Months

Location : Remote

Job Description :

• Work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and data owners to capture data requirements and ensure alignment.
• Lead workshops to validate migrated data and obtain business sign-off on data readiness.
• Serve as the key liaison between Salesforce, CRM, Analytics, and Engineering teams on data-related initiatives.
• Ensure all data practices comply with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Implement data access controls, masking, and encryption strategies to secure sensitive information.
• Lead the end-to-end data migration from legacy systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, custom apps) into Salesforce.
• Develop comprehensive data migration plans, including data mapping, transformation logic, load sequencing, and cutover strategies.
• Oversee execution of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes, leveraging tools like dbAmp, SQL Server, and SSIS packages, or custom scripts.
• Define data validation and reconciliation strategies to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency post-migration.
• Develop testing strategies, including unit, system integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT), specifically for data.
• Monitor and tune Salesforce data models for performance and scalability in large datasets.
• Maintain thorough documentation of architecture designs, data flow diagrams, and migration processes.
• Provide training and guidance to internal teams on data practices, tools, and architecture standards.
• Mentor and guide junior architects, developers, and admins on data modeling and design principles.

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience designing and implementing Salesforce solutions, including large-scale data migrations.
• Experience specifically as a Salesforce Data Architect
• Expert understanding of Salesforce data models, schema builder, and entity relationships.
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce integration patterns (REST, SOAP etc.).
• Strong knowledge of security models, role hierarchies, sharing rules, and Salesforce Shield (encryption).
• Deep experience with Salesforce Data Loader, Bulk API, External Objects, and Data Management tools.
