Job Description
Badger Infrastructure Solutions specializes in non-destructive excavation using water and vacuum systems. Reporting to the Materials Manager, the Shipper and Receiver is responsible for ensuring seamless processing of incoming and outgoing shipments via Oracle Cloud. The role requires understanding the impact of accurate and efficient deliveries on other business functions.
The salary for this role will be commensurate with education and/or experience.
What You'll Be Doing
- Receive and sort incoming parts, store in designated locations, and utilize Oracle Cloud for receiving and put-away functions.
- Process all required shipping and receiving paperwork, maintaining accurate records for reporting and tracking.
- Prepare and schedule shipments as assigned.
- Coordinate daily transportation needs with carriers and couriers.
- Ensure accurate loading and unloading of deliveries.
- Track shipments and verify receipt of shipments as required.
- Manage inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- Sort, label, and distribute incoming shipments.
- Perform quality audits on shipped goods prior to signing off.
- Ensure all shipments are properly documented and address any missing documents with procurement, vendors, or carriers.
- Report discrepancies between purchase orders and receipts to Procurement via the PR system.
- Follow current standards and procedures.
- Maintain an organized work area according to policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Manage yard operations to ensure parts are properly labeled and accounted for before leaving receiving areas.
- Participate in cycle counts and annual inventory counts.
- Perform other inventory-related duties and projects as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a Shipping and Receiving role.
- Experience with Oracle is an asset.
- Understanding of supply chain management and materials flow.
- Knowledge of filling out waybills for domestic and international shipments.
- Experience with online shipping/tracking with FedEx, UPS, Purolator, and DHL.
- Basic mathematical skills, including weighing and measuring items.
- Proficiency in computer applications such as Excel and Outlook, with the ability to learn new programs.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment, including forklifts.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
