A day in the life

As a Paralegal, you will support the real estate legal team, focusing on acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and development deals, including data center conversions. The role requires creative problem-solving and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Support all stages of real estate transactions, including title and survey review, due diligence, document preparation, and post-closing administration. Must understand title and survey issues and communicate effectively about them.
• Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents such as purchase and sale agreements, amendments, closing documents, easements, CC&Rs, confidentiality agreements, and others under attorney supervision.
• Negotiate with third parties like title companies, surveyors, and regulatory bodies.
• Abstract and summarize contractual terms, including declarations and leases.
• Build professional relationships internally and externally to facilitate research and information gathering.

Building blocks for success

Required

• 10+ years of experience in real estate transactions, leasing, and development, preferably in a law firm or in-house legal department.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn proprietary systems.
• Experience managing transactions independently.
• Strong professionalism, integrity, communication skills, and ability to work under pressure.
• Independent, proactive, organized, and adaptable work style.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.

Preferred

• Experience with SalesForce, Doxsera, Smartsheet, and SimpleLegal.
• Experience with data center transactions is a plus.

Salary range: $39.42 - $58.65/hour, commensurate with experience and location.
