About The Opportunity

Reporting to the Program Manager and collaborating with the Recreation Therapist, the Therapeutic Assistant supports health promotion and therapeutic services for the rehabilitation population. The role involves working with the interdisciplinary team to implement treatment plans and share patient-specific information to enhance team knowledge.


About You

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Grade XII plus a two-year certificate or diploma in Recreation or Therapeutic Recreation
  • Current CPR certification
  • Current St. John Ambulance First Aid (preferred)
  • Current certification in Non Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) (asset)
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of community resources
  • Language skills; French is an asset

Hours
  • Permanent, part-time; 67.5 hours bi-weekly
  • Shifts include weekends and holidays over a 7-day schedule
Compensation and Benefits

$23.10 - $25.19 hourly. Successful candidates may access benefits such as health, dental, travel, long-term disability, life insurance, and a pension plan.
