A leading educational institution is seeking Indigenous Education Workers for their Relief roster. The role involves supporting Indigenous students and may lead to a position in the upcoming school year. Applicants should have relevant education and experience working with children, particularly those of Indigenous ancestry. Knowledge of Indigenous culture and languages is preferred.
School District No. 73 is currently accepting applications for the Indigenous Education Worker (IEW) Relief roster, with the possibility of an appointment to a position in the 2024/2025 school year.
Indigenous Education Workers provide assistance and support to either individual or groups of Indigenous students. The successful applicants will be of Indigenous ancestry and have a thorough knowledge of applicable Indigenous culture, tradition, and issues, both historical and contemporary.
The successful incumbent(s) must be willing to travel to outlying communities while on relief.
