Job description

We're seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team in Mirabel, QC. In this hands-on role, you'll be instrumental in the inspection, fabrication, installation, and repair of aircraft structures, ensuring every component meets the highest standards of safety and quality.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform scheduled and unscheduled structural tasks;
  2. Perform inspections, fabricate, assemble, install and repair sheet metal structures and components;
  3. Document deviations and raise non-conformance reports in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as customer manuals as required;
  4. Determine appropriate corrective actions required to rectify deviations;
  5. Perform a wide range of activities related to aircraft structures;
  6. Perform modification activities;
  7. Document maintenance actions in accordance with company policies and procedures, as well as customer manuals, as required;
  8. Complete various forms, files and documents in accordance with company policies and procedures and customer manuals, as required;
  9. Estimate time required to complete non-conformance reports and coordinate with various supervisors to ensure work requirements for all positions have been addressed;
  10. Identify and make purchase requisitions;
Qualifications
  1. Diploma in aircraft maintenance technology, avionics maintenance or aircraft structure recognized by Transport Canada, or other accredited course;
  2. Oral and written bilingualism (French - English) is important for communication in the multilingual environment of the customer site and technical documentation;
  3. 5 years' experience working on aircraft(s);
  4. Ability to work on tasks requiring excellent judgment and initiative;
  5. Have specialized technical skills;
  6. Complete and pass training related to position;
  7. Update and communicate skills, work experience, and professional qualifications to Human Resources;
  8. Report all incidents, accidents and potential hazards via the SMS;
  9. Apply and follow policies and procedures related to the position.
