Job description

Location : REMOTE - Quebec City - candidate must live in the territory Or at the most : 45 minutes outside of the Territory

We are looking for one tech between Quebec City and Rimuski.

Hours : Monday to Friday 8 : 00 am 4 : 00 pm + Overtime

Base salary : Up to 90K + Overtime & Commissions (Approx. 10K to 15K per year in overtime annually)

Scope of Position :

This position interfaces with other Service Technicians, Service Area Managers, Regional Service Manager, Parts Manager and Parts Department staff, Service Dispatchers, Service Data Entry staff and various Branch Sales and Service personnel in the resolution of equipment installations, equipment problems, Customer Relations and at times, Service Administration problems.

RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES :

  • This position requires knowledge of service and repair techniques involving diagnosing and correcting malfunctions of Food Equipment and Retail Store equipment.
  • This technician will perform field service consisting of adjusting, aligning, assembling, calibrating, inspecting, lubricating and testing commercial kitchen equipment.
  • Problem diagnosis of electrical, mechanical, electronics, plumbing and gas fueled kitchen and retail store equipment troubleshooting, using innovation and common sense to remedy situations, enabling the customer to resume operation.
  • Maintaining working knowledge of the latest modifications, retrofits, updates, etc. for equipment assigned to service.
  • Assisting others in equipment installations or in performing major repairs
  • Attending, completing service training schools and audiovisual field training, as required
  • Assisting in obtaining service / preventative maintenance contracts
  • Working overtime / be on standby as required

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Must speak fluent Bilingual French and English spoken and written
  • College graduate of a Mechanical – Electrical – Electronic course
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in technical service-related work
  • Driver’s license with an impeccable driving record
  • This position requires good communication skills to deal with erratic hour service calls / requests, including weekend and shift work
  • Technicians must be able to travel to the USA (factory training).
  • TRAVEL : once every 2 years – must have passport or getting passport
  • Technicians must be able to travel to the USA (factory training)- GO TO CALGARY IN FIRST 3 MONTHS AND FOR OHIO IN THE FIRST 6 MONTHS
