This clinic is a stabilization service for patients in the Campbell River community and surrounding area, offering same-day episodic appointments. Starting in November 2024, the Island Health Campbell River Primary Care Access Clinic will expand to four exam rooms, up from two. The clinic will also provide extended hours, operating from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm, Monday to Friday, excluding weekends and statutory holidays.
Island Health is actively recruiting providers to offer this vital primary care service. The clinic offers flexibility, competitive provider service contracts, a team-based care model, and the opportunity to serve the Campbell River community.
Since spring, the clinic located at 381 2nd Avenue, adjacent to North Island Hospital - Campbell River, has been offering same-day in-person appointments Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. Staff includes MOAs, nurses, and providers working collaboratively.
No overhead contribution by physicians to the clinic.

Compensation: Clinical Service Contract, with an hourly rate of $198.48 for predominantly in-person services. No overhead costs.
