Requisites

Current College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) License

Full Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) - Mandatory

Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) - Mandatory

Role and Facility Information

This job opportunity provides rewarding small town Emergency/Urgent care work in a collegial setting within a modern facility with fully electronic medical record and First Net triage system. The practitioner will work collaboratively with an inter-professional health care team to provide culturally safe urgent care to patients on-site at Chemainus Urgent Care Centre.

Mandatory qualifications: current Advanced Trauma Life Support certification or CARE course, current Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification, must have done Paediatric Advanced Life Support course at least once.

Physician must be comfortable with acute management of minor injuries and medical conditions, and familiar with procedures including cardioversion, intubation, and casting.

As soon as possible.

Full-time or part-time positions available.

May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) including:

1. Retention Premium: 4.20%
2. Retention Flat Fee: $6,509
3. Relocation Funding Available: up to a maximum of $15,000 (amount based on location relocating from)
4. Recruitment Incentive: up to a maximum of $10,000 (pro-rated based on FTE)

Other Benefits/Incentives:

1. CME: $2,200/annum year 3-4 and $4,400/annum after 4 years in the community
