The following describes the major elements and requirements of the position and is not an all-inclusive list of responsibilities, duties, and skills. The Radiology Transporter transports patients to and from the Radiology Department. Additional duties include darkroom tasks, ordering supplies, stocking, dressing patients, and front office duties such as answering phones, greeting patients, and preparing outpatient requisitions. The role also involves filing patient reports and retrieving records for physicians or medical staff. The Transporter should demonstrate knowledge of radiology terminology, good telephone etiquette, and the ability to greet visitors politely. Provides clerical support using telephones, computers, office equipment, PACS, and runs errands throughout the facility.
