The following describes the major elements and requirements of the position and is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities, duties, and skills. The Radiology Transporter is responsible for transporting patients to and from the Radiology Department. Additional duties include but are not limited to darkroom tasks, ordering supplies, stocking, dressing patients, and front office duties. Clerical responsibilities include answering phones, greeting patients and visitors, preparing requisitions for outpatients, filing patient reports, and retrieving patient records for physicians or medical staff. The Radiology Transporter/Aide should have a good understanding of radiology terminology, demonstrate excellent telephone etiquette, and greet patients and visitors politely and professionally. Support tasks also involve utilizing office equipment, PACS (Picture Archive and Communication System), and running errands throughout the facility.
